PMA Grassroots Employer Toolkit - What Will We Ask Them To Do?

It probably feels like a useless exercise to form an advocacy network without any idea of what you will ask people to do. Never fear! There are numerous resources available at the state and federal level to help you figure that out:

• State level advocacy: Your company may already be a member of a state or regional-level produce-related organization. Most of these associations offer some assistance with advocacy in your state legislature. As a PMA member, you can search for these organizations by logging on to the PMA Membership Database.
• Federal advocacy: PMA's GROW network was designed for the specific purpose of helping advocates figure out how they can be most effective on policy issues at the federal level. Hence, one of the most important things you can ask potential advocates at your company to do is to sign up for the GROW network.
