New for 2018: Produce Glean Volunteer Opportunity* - SOLD OUT
Join your colleagues for an optional volunteer opportunity to rescue produce for those in need in the Philadelphia area. Attendees will depart the Philadelphia Airport Marriott at 12:45 pm on April 11 and travel to the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market for a two-hour Produce Rescue Glean. Retail Produce Tour (Optional)*
Attend a guided tour of the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market on April 12. Opened in June 2011 as the world’s largest fully-enclosed, fully-refrigerated wholesale produce terminal, this facility houses 25 independent fresh produce wholesalers that sell to customers from Florida to Canada with most coming from within a 150 mile radius. This is a great opportunity to make new contacts and meet key retailers. The tour will take place at 7:00 am, departing the hotel at 6:45 am and returning for the start of the education program.
