On Tuesday, July 13, 2009 more than 100 produce industry professionals gathered at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort & Spa on Del Monte Golf Course. Individuals from PMA member companies, as well as non-member companies, attended Fresh Connections: Monterey, a day-long event that provided a venue for networking, sharing ideas and insights, and hearing the latest information on Traceability and other key supply chain technologies.

Presenter Gary Fleming, PMA’s Vice President of Industry Technology and Standards, provided clarity with respect to measures taken to ensure the industry’s ability to quickly and efficiently track and trace product up and down the supply chain when something slips through the food safety nets.
