Eight inspirational color palettes were recently shared by Laurie Pressman, VP of the Pantone Color Institute, during a Pantone webinar hosted by PMA. Each of the color palettes incorporates the Pantone Color of the Year 2018: Ultra Violet.
The following list of questions, courtesy of Pantone, is designed to help you and your company “color think” to engage your consumers and increase sales:
What does your brand stand for? What message do you want to convey and how can color help you tell the story?
Who is the consumer you are targeting?
Color is the first thing consumers connect to. Color influences 50% - 85% of product purchases. How can you use color to prompt a “buy” response in your targeted consumer?
Where do trends in color fit in? Do you have all of the information you need to make your color decisions? You need to look relevant or you will get passed by.
Should you use a more unusual color story? How will the colors you have chosen separate you from your competition? BE UNIQUE!
Are you creating the in-store experiences which today’s consumers are looking for?
Should you be using social media to connect to your audience?
Could you be creating in-store events to create a community?
