By 2050, the global population is projected to be a whopping nine billion people. With that comes the need for driven individuals and creative minds that are ready to jump in to build our growing industries.

Career Pathways offers university students a glimpse inside the dynamic, global fresh produce and floral industries and the career opportunities, potential and rewards within them.

About Career Pathways
About Career Pathways

Certificate Program

Open to all undergraduate and masters students. Registration required.

During the semester, student participants will learn through videos and online exercises — at their own pace — about each sector of the supply chain and the careers associated with them.

Upon completion of the program, each student will be assigned a Career Ambassador, an industry mentor who will provide guidance, motivation and support.

Students will also receive:
  • Certificate of completion
  • Badge for LinkedIn to highlight this achievement
  • FREE student membership to PMA, providing students with access to members-only content
    on the PMA website, including PMA's membership directory and
    members-only discounted rates to PMA events
  • Additional resources available from Center for Growing Talent

 

Live Sessions to Connect With the Industry

Open to all undergraduate and masters students. Complete the form to receive an invitation.

The following live virtual sessions will be included in the Certificate Program, and are also open individually to all students:

  • Career panels offering job search and career advice
  • Industry panel discussions for specific supply chain segments or industry communities
  • Networking mixers to meet and mingle with industry veterans
  • Young professionals "speed meeting" session designed for students to network with new industry members

Career Pathways resources help students understand the fresh produce and floral industries and the career opportunities available to them. These resources can be used by university faculty, industry volunteers and other company representatives. They can be used in recruiting efforts, employee onboarding or in promoting the fresh produce and floral industries as a career choice:
