CPS RESEARCH 2018: PUTTING RESEARCH INTO PRACTICE

November 15, 2018

The Center for Produce Safety (CPS) held its 9th Research Symposium in Charlotte, NC. Over the course of two days, industry, academia and government discussed topics from Listeria and Salmonella to validation tools, sanitation methods to water. Attendees also were told we cannot continue with business as usual -- we need to put research into practice because our current practices aren’t cutting it anymore.

PMA, CPS, United Fresh, and Western Growers joined forces to break down the key themes from the presentations and research and lay a path forward on how to put the research into practice in order to enhance your equipment design, sanitation strategies, testing programs and food safety programs.

Speakers:

  • Dr. Bob Whitaker (PMA)
  • Dr. Trevor Suslow (PMA)
  • Bonnie Fernandez-Fenaroli (CPS)
  • Dr. Jennifer McEntire (United Fresh)
  • Hank Giclas (Western Growers)
