PMA A-NZ Diamond and Platinum members are invited to participate in an online forum to discuss the rapidly evolving “new norm” for the fresh produce industry driven by COVID-19. PMA A-NZ has developed a report to help the produce industry understand the trends arising from COVID-19 by leveraging off the PMA A-NZ State of the industry report.
Last year PMA A-NZ identified the mega trends that are impacting the Fresh Produce industry; Globalisation, Demographics and Technology. These trends emerged over the past 10 years and had a dramatic impact on our world with the rise of social media, an increased focus on health and the environment and the advancement of technology. These trends are constantly evolving from a range of drivers of change including AI, robotics, urbanisation, ageing populations, millennial workforces and social media.
This year’s State of the Industry noted some new key trends for the produce industry; Personalised Health and Nutrition and Sustainability – and then COVID-19 arrived. We’ve since seen a wave of new factors influence how we work, live and eat, all of which impact on the fresh produce industry.
This virtual session will share our findings on the emerging “new norm” trends that are shaping the post COVID-19 world, help you get a focus on what this means for your business and help you plan for success.
