Rimfire Resources has been collating and reporting salary data (Agribusiness Salary Review) as well as industry-specific HR practice information (HR Review) specific to the Agribusiness sector for the past 15 years.
PMA A-NZ agrees that a more accurate understanding of market salaries and remuneration levels across the production – and wider agribusiness – industry would benefit all PMA A-NZ members.
The Agribusiness Salary Review is an online, subscription only remuneration benchmarking system specifically designed to meet the unique needs of the Agribusiness Industry.
The Agribusiness Salary Review contains employee salary data for 18,000+ incumbents across 190+ roles. Members will have access to this live, market salary data for either the whole database (full subscription) or up to 25 roles of their choice (limited subscription). Some example categories of role types include:
• Supply Chain and Logistics
• Administration and Finance
• Farm Operations
• Primary Production
As well as running several standard reports by role type that provide an in-depth analysis and comparison of their data against the market, subscribers are also able to benchmark their organisation as a whole against the sector. They can also run specific reports tailored to their individual data requirements, as the data base is completely customisable from a reporting perspective.
Participants will also receive a complimentary copy of Rimfire’s HR Review, an annual survey looking at a range of HR trends and practices. This is separately valued at $395 + GST but is complimentary with both subscription options.
Rimfire will produce a quarterly market data update that will allow subscribers to keep pace with emerging and wider remuneration and employment trends specific to the agricultural sector.
How the Data is Collected
Participants will be emailed an Excel Spreadsheet (example below) to be filled out and returned to Rimfire Resources for processing. This stripped-down version of Rimfire’s Data Collection sheet requires only submission of each employees Position Title, Base Salary, Super, Location, Bonus Target/Actual figures and value of a motor vehicle if one is provided (Rimfire will make available a list of standard industry values for participants if they do not have an annualized vehicle value). Participants will also be asked to provide company demographic information such as Total Number of Employees and Annual Revenue to enable Rimfire to segment company data for benchmarking against similarly sized companies.
