Membership Committee
Supports membership growth by actively recruiting and retaining members. Members of this committee serve as PMA ambassadors and help members understand the full scope of their benefits. Learn more.

Floral Council
Provides input and guidance to help deliver year-round value to floral members while strengthening existing relationships and recruiting new members. Learn more.

Fresh Summit Committee
Provides strategic, tactical and promotional guidance/support to ensure that Fresh Summit continues to meet the evolving needs of the fresh produce and floral community. Learn more.
Volunteer requirement: Must have attended and/or exhibited at Fresh Summit at least once or be currently registered to exhibit for the first time. 

Foodservice Conference Committee
Provides strategic, tactical and promotional guidance/support to the Foodservice Conference and its objectives to increase produce sales within the foodservice sector. Learn more.
Volunteer requirement: Must have attended Foodservice at least once. 

Science & Technology Committee
Works with PMA staff to develop strategies addressing critical issues in science and technology that may affect the global produce industry. Learn more.

Product Identification Committee
Facilitates the development and use of global product identification standards for use within the produce industry. This includes PLU codes, generic and company specific UPCs, and DataBar. Learn more.

Budget & Finance Committee
Ensures PMA and Center for Growing Talent are in good fiscal health, and the Board of Directors' policies and strategic priorities are reflected in the annual budgets.  Learn more.

Brazil Country Council
Works to advance PMA and Center for Growing Talent in Brazil. Actively promotes programs including Fresh Connections: Brazil. Helps to identify local member value needs, strengthen existing member relationships and recruit new members. Learn more.
Volunteer requirement: Should reside and work in Brazil.

Chile Country Council
Works to advance PMA and Center for Growing Talent in Chile. Actively promotes programs in Chile, helps to identify local member value needs, strengthen existing member relationships and recruit new members. Learn more.
Volunteer requirement: Should reside and work in Chile.

Mexico Country Council
Works to advance PMA and Center for Growing Talent in Mexico. Actively promotes programs including Fresh Connections: Mexico. Helps to identify local member value needs, strengthen existing member relationships and recruit new members. Learn more.
Volunteer requirement: Should reside and work in Mexico.

South Africa Country Council
Works to advance PMA and Center for Growing Talent in South Africa and the southern Africa region. Actively promotes programs including Fresh Connections: Southern Africa. Helps to identify local member value needs, strengthen existing member relationships and recruit new members. Learn more.
Volunteer requirement: Should reside and work in South Africa. 

Global Development Committee (GDC)
Fosters global business connections and intelligence for current and future PMA members while supporting PMA’s global growth strategy.  Learn more.
Volunteer requirement: Able to participate in two in-person meetings each year (Meeting 1 at PMA Fresh Summit; Meeting 2 typically outside the U.S.)

Selection of Volunteers

All members interested in volunteering should submit an application so that we can match your interests and experience to the work of our volunteer groups. Final selection of volunteers is determined by the volunteer leaders of each committee.
