US Broccoli Market Report: 2021-2022

International Fresh Produce Association is committed to providing members with relevant market data and insights to guide their business considerations and decisions. Working with Ag Tools, which collected and analyzed commodity data, we offer the following comprehensive broccoli report for the US market – product produced in and/or imported into the United States.

“Broccoli had slight but consistent market growth during 2020 and 2021. In 2022 there was a slight reduction. This product is popular among multiple generations of consumers.”

– Joe Watson, Vice President of Retail, Foodservice, Wholesale Membership

During the report period, November 2021 through October 2022, total broccoli volume exceeded 1.2 billion pounds. Among the 13 regions noted, only three – Mexico, central California, and Arizona – have dominant market shares. Together they supply 93% of the total volume. Of note, Arizona’s volume soared during this period.
