Career Pathways Virtual Certificate Program
This FREE Career Pathways Virtual Certificate Program offers university students in their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior years of study a glimpse into the many rewards and vast potential of the Produce and Floral industries. This on-demand, interactive, fast-paced certificate program allows participants eight weeks to complete the learning modules, all at their own pace.
Five Steps to Completing the Program
- View the “About the Program” orientation video and complete the “More About Me” survey
- View the Welcome Video and complete the “My Ideal Job” quiz
- Complete the Supply Chain Module
- Complete three Growing Modules
- Complete the four Learning Tracks – each track contains three modules:
- Production
- Science & Technology
- Demand Creation
- Supply Chain/Logistics
Upon completion, students will receive:
- A certificate of completion
- A badge for LinkedIn to highlight this achievement
- A Free International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) Individual Membership
- Job/Internship announcements, when made available
- Additional resources available from IFPA
- First 100 students to complete the program will be paired with a Career Ambassador (industry mentor)
Live Sessions to Connect with the Industry
Invitations to these sessions, which will be announced throughout the year, will automatically be sent to Career Pathways participants and are also open to students not participating in the program:
- Career panels offering job search and career advice
- Industry panel discussions for specific supply chain segments or industry communities
- Networking mixers to meet and mingle with industry veterans
- Young professionals "speed meeting" session designed for students to network with new industry members
To gain access to this FREE program, start by adding the program to your IFPA cart, complete a brief form letting us know a little more about you, add form to cart, then proceed to the “check out” (small shopping cart in top right). After you create an account and check out, your order will be reviewed by staff, and you will receive a follow up email with the link to log in and begin this informative produce and floral career exploration journey.
